Dusit Thani Bangkok among the world’s top 100 hotels

Dusit Thani Bangkok, the reimagined flagship of Dusit Hotels and Resorts under Dusit International, has earned global acclaim by ranking #60 on the inaugural extended list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025. This newly introduced list highlights 50 exceptional hotels across six continents, chosen by over 800 independent travel professionals—including hoteliers, journalists, and seasoned luxury travellers—for their innovation, service excellence, and guest experience.

First opened in 1970 as one of Thailand’s pioneering luxury hotels, Dusit Thani Bangkok quickly became a cultural landmark and symbol of Thai hospitality. After a five-year redevelopment within the Dusit Central Park mixed-use project, the hotel reopened in September 2024, redefining its signature brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality for a new era.

The redesigned property pays homage to its heritage while embracing modern sophistication. Iconic elements from the original hotel have been thoughtfully preserved, including the distinctive spire—now elegantly encased atop the new structure overlooking Lumpini Park—as well as ornate pillars, artworks, and frangipani trees planted by the company’s founder. These details create a seamless blend of legacy and contemporary design.

Renowned designer André Fu has crafted refined interiors that reinterpret the hotel’s storied past with modern elegance. Spacious rooms and suites offer panoramic views of Lumpini Park, and the hotel features curated dining concepts and the signature Devarana Wellness centre, all reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship, culture, and heartfelt service.

Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, described the recognition within a year of reopening as a significant milestone that reinforces the brand’s dedication to excellence, authenticity, and culturally rooted hospitality. The accolade follows additional recent success, including the awarding of Michelin Keys to Dusit Thani Bangkok, Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, and Dusit Thani Kyoto in October 2025.
