Muay Thai Boxing Camps in Thailand

Martial Artists Seek Cheap Adventure Travel

Nothing will prepare people for the grueling Muay Thai Boxing camps that are becoming more and more popular for martial artists, adventure seekers and inquisitive travelers on offer in Thailand.

There are many options available from tours to live-in camps to individual classes and because of the competitive market they are very affordable. Some camps even offer mixed martial arts training in other skill sets such as Brazilian ju Jitsu, wrestling etc.

Phuket

Tiger Muay Thai in beautiful Phuket offers classes from about $80 Canadian per week, accommodation is available nearby starting at $80 per month in a youth hostel with basic, clean accommodation. You could spend a little more and stay in bungalow accommodation only 300 meters away with cable TV, nice views, on site restaurant and hot showers for about $300 Canadian a month. Options range right up to four star accommodation for around $800 a month.

Pattaya

Pattaya Kombat International Muay Thai and MMA camp is situated about 135km east of Bangkok. For about $900 per month, you can get Muay Thai training (other disciplines on offer, see website for details) food and basic shared accommodation.

These are just two of the many schools that offer Muay Thai training in Thailand. Always read reviews of the schools before going and commit for only a week initially and see how you like it. You can always leave or try for another school if you are unhappy.

Check your staff's credentials as many of the schools have current and former champion's up to a world Muay Thai champion level. Many of the school's cater to foreigners and all skill levels so once again, it is important to shop around.

Training at a traditional Muay Thai school in Thailand will not be easy, but the rewards to your health and skills will be immense. The heat is often a major obstacle for people not used to it.
